Yay! I'm back from Yunnan! The place is colder than Shanghai! Never mind that... Time to talk about my experience.
MONDAY(12/11)
Tonight reached the airport at 23:25. So tired... Why does the flight have to be so early the next morning? Take very long just to check in... By the time we reached the waiting hall, we felt like zombies...
TUESDAY(13/11)
Reached Kunming at 6 plus. Ate breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Then took another flight to Lijiang. There we took a bus to the hotel. After resting for 2hours, we went to the primary school for CIP. There we took over a primary 5 class. Unlike us, they are very rowdy. As my chinese standard is very bad, they don't understand a single word I say... err... I had to get my roommate to be my translator. Hahaha......
WEDNESDAY(14/11)
Second day of CIP. Today Sec 2s are in charge of the mural painting(for the library). But as the walls are rough, we have to cement the walls. But sadly, when the teachers are not around, the guys ran away... Very pathetic, huh?
After lunch, we continued our shift. As I am in charge of the painting design, I had to sketch out the design on the wall. But sadly(again), I'm still being ordered around...
THURSDAY (15/11)
Today finish up the mural painting. Silly thing is only now than I realised that Miss Lee's (the art teacher that came along with us) mural was WAY bigger than mine. In the afternoon, the Sec 2s teach the primary 5 class art and craft lesson. The "main attraction"
was the balloon sculpture lesson. I was not assigned to a group, so the only think I did was help make balloon dogs for those children that didn't dare to even touch the balloon.
Then we perform for the children after lessons. We sang "Home" and danced "Reached up for the skies"(which ironically was the same one compared to the Shanghai trip).
Continuing on, we later went to the childrens' house. And we got free apples!(LOL)
FRIDAY (16/11)
Climbed the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It's SO COLD!!! Up there have Tibetian monastry. Donated give a Hatta.(white funny-looking scarf)And to make it worse, it was cloudy that day, so we could not see the mountain! Nothing else to talk about...
Then went to the Baihe River. They said that washing your hands with the river water will give you good luck. MY HEAD! The river water was so cold it froze my hands, and the mud surrounding the river dirtied my shoes! Good luck, huh?
Visited Baisha Old Town in the evening. Bought a necklace there. Other than that, nothing.
SATURDAY (17/11)
Went to see the majestic Tiger Leaping Gourge. AHH... who am I kidding? The scenery is spoilt due to the active souviners' sellers. We cannot even have a single quiet spot...
Nothing much after that. We checked in at the hotel in Shangirila and got free time to relax before dinner.
Oh yes, we also went to the Tibatian culture house for a performance. I hate that part... Let me explain. They gave us a tinny weeny cup of alcohol to drink. And due to that I got drunk... And believe me, you DON'T WANNA GET DRUNK!

MONDAY (19/11)
Delayed flight... Bus broke down... Traffic jams... More cars and buses... Another delayed flight... needless to say that the last day was TOTALLY BORING!!!
